Our Philosophy and Mission
St. Michael Little Angels Preschool is a Catholic-based program dedicated to:
Helping students grow in faith through an increased knowledge of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Enhancing the spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional development of children 3, 4, and 5 years of age
Building each child’s self esteem and independence, cultivating socialization skills and deepening respect for themselves and others
Designing curriculum to balance creativity and structure that encourage children to reason and question, expand their communicative abilities and strengthen fine and gross motor skills
Creating a joyful, secure environment, where children are loved and nurtured and where parents and teaching staff work together in a Christian community of faith
Description of Classes
Three Year Old Class
Children must be 33 months old by September 1st of the current year, and be toilet trained. These children are ready to experience their first group setting away from parents and be attending preschool for two years. Age appropriate activities will be presented to children individually, in small groups, and large groups. This is the ideal class to begin learning social skills.
Four/Five Year Old Class
Children must be 4 years old by September 1st of the current year, and be toilet trained. Age appropriate activities that develop school readiness will be presented to children individually, in small groups, and large groups.

Registration fee of $60 (non-refundable) and one month tuition (non-refundable after July 31) are due with registration form

About Little Angels Preschool …
Teaches and assesses based on the Early childhood Indicators of Progress: Minnesota’s Early Learning Standards
Provides daily instruction in alphabet recognition, phonological awareness, listening comprehension, and beginning reading concepts
Uses a developmentally appropriate handwriting curriculum
Emphasizes real life problem-solving opportunities through hands-on, visual and auditory activities
Helps each child form a relationship with God through simple prayers, the introduction of scripture, and Catholic practices
Teaches independence, responsibility, cooperation and self-awareness by promoting an “I Can Do It” attitude
Encourages preschoolers to continue questioning, seeking, and inquiring by giving them new experiences
Guides and encourages preschoolers to progress at their own rates
Keeps parents informed about their child’s welfare, activities and accomplishments
Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, meeting state and federal regulations concerning teachers, health and housing
Begins classes in September and continues through May, following the St. Michael Catholic School calendar

Registration begins the weekend of January 26 and 27, 2013 at the Church of St. Michael after all masses
