            A.        Enrollment - Patrick

                        - school tours are still in progress, enrollment is holding steady

            B.         Staffing - Patrick

                        - .5 teacher added to lower class sizes in 5th grade for math/reading

            C.        SAB Committee Assignments - Brian/Patrick

                        - committees were assigned for upcoming school year

I.          Gathering Time - 6:30pm

             Board Members present: Mr Fox, Paul Gilbride, Greg Wenthe, Rhonda Thibault, Peg Sibbet, Diane Glaser, Jeff Ferguson, Jo Gabbard, Janel Klugherz, Jeff Kallberg, Kathy Poepping, Brian Hansen

            Approval of June 12, 2008 agenda with consensus with no changes

IV.       DISCUSSION/DECISION

            A.        Enrollment - Paul

             - enrollment is still gradually increasing each month - projected enrollment for 2008-2009 is 499 students           

            B.         Budget Approval - Paul

                        - the proposed budget was discussed and approved

            - the school is ahead of budget for the school year

            C.        Staffing - Patrick

                        - 2 new teachers have been hired - Kelly Rohlfsen in Kindergarten and Jill Kaczmarek in 3rd 

                           grade

  -a half time 5th grade teacher will be hired later this summer

            D.        08/09 Vice Chair position - Brian

            - it was voted on and approved that Diane Glaser become the SAB Vice Chair for the 2008-2009 school year

            E.         Lake Front Days Float Update - Paul

                        - an idea for the float has been decided upon - a replica of St Michael steeple

            - all coordinator positions have been filled - watch for volunteer opportunites

            F.         SAB Committee Assignments - Paul/Patrick

            - a list of open committee positions was distributed.  Positions will be filled at the July meeting

V.        INFORMATIONAL

            A.        Board Member Reports

                        1.         Financial Report for April - Paul

                                    - as we come to the end of the fiscal year, the school is ahead of budget

                        2.         Tuition Committee Report - Jo

                                    - table

                        3.         Building and Grounds Update - Brian

            - the damage from the flood in Archangels hall will be fixed in the next two weeks                                 

            - the issues with the water on the gym floor will be addressed and fixed this summer

                        4.         Parent Connections Report - Diane and Peg

                                    - no report this month

                        5.         Athletic Committee Report - Brian

            - St. Michael Annual Golf Tournament will be held on August 17 at Stonebrook Golf Club.  Cost is $100 per person

                        6.         Principal’s Report - Patrick

            - Uniforms - expanding uniform options to include a navy blue polo shirt with approved school logo, purchased from Donald’s - the shirt will be banded or unbanded           

            B.         Liaison Report

                        1.         St. Michael Parish Council Report - Jeff Ferguson

            - Budget Review  - the budget is on course

            - Capital Campaign - the new campaign will be starting again soon

            - Centennial Mass - Father Tom is still looking for a bishop to say the Centennial Mass

            - Aprilfest - net profit is approximately mid to upper $60,000

            - Steve Hofer - parish administer for St Mary’s - tracking growth of Scott County and will report on the impact for St Michael in the fall

            C.        Evaluation of Meeting - meeting went well

            A.        2007-2008 year in review

                        - goal review assessment tabled until July

            - list of SAB accomplishments was listed
