School Advisory Board

The School Advisory Board provides leadership and service in all matters pertaining to St. Michael Catholic School. Its purpose is to minister to, and develop the educational faith community of students, staff, and families centered on the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church. We are a policy-making and support committee that works with this end in mind.

The School Advisory Board provides the pastor and principal with insight of the laity for the good of the school. Combining their knowledge and competencies, the members of the Advisory Board are called to share their thoughts honestly and openly with courage and prudence. The school is strengthened by the unity of effort and stewardship in reverence and charity.

Board members are selected through the Discernment Process or by appointment. Selection by Discernment takes place during a Children’s Mass in spring. Members serve three-year terms and act as representatives of the school community and as liaisons to various sub committees that directly interact with St. Michael Catholic School.
The School Advisory Board meets on the second Thursday of each month.
