Lunch Program

A daily hot lunch program is available for all students on days of normal school operation.  The menu is sent home in the weekly  News Notes.  Lunch payments may be paid weekly, monthly or daily. All money is put on the student’s account and tracked via computer by account number.

It is the parents’ responsibility to keep track of their children’s lunch. If a parent loses track of an account they can call the school cafeteria staff at 952-447-2140. The best time to call is between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. weekdays.

The cost of lunch:

Grades 1 – 6

$2.00 (includes 1 milk)

Grades 7 - 8

$2.25 (includes 1 milk)

Grades 7 and 8 have a choice of a salad instead of the main entree, but they still receive milk, bread, and fruit/vegetable.  Grades 7 and 8 also receive doubles on the main entree or larger portions if they choose (e.g., two hamburgers versus one for grades 1 - 6).

Lunch payments must be clearly marked on an envelope with the student's name (first and last), homeroom teacher, and their account number.  Make checks payable to St. Michael Lunch Program. If there is more than one student in a family, parents may include them all on one check/cash and send the lunch payment with any student in the family to give to his/her teacher.  The envelope must be marked clearly with the dollar amount included for each student's account.

Free and reduced lunches are available to families eligible for this service.  Applications and eligibility requirements are available through the school office.
